The Office of the Vice President for Instructional Affairs is the center for academic activities of the College of Micronesia-FSM. It is responsible for the institutionalization and promotion of academic programs. It coordinates assessment of student learning outcomes, program evaluations, and promotes the enhancement of and innovative changes to curricular programs to ensure their effectiveness in meeting current industry requirements. It provides leadership and guidance in all instructional affairs, and sees to it that the academic programs are responsive to the needs of the Federated States of Micronesia and at the same time, adaptive to the world trends.
The Office is also responsible for library services, placement testing, and student advising. The following make up the instructional affairs department.
